Wookie.

The glaze.

Wookie is a variation of Hoth. The dark brown colour is achieved with the addition of iron, cobalt and manganese oxide.

A dark chocolate colour that breaks off edges in a lighter shade. It suits smooth surfaces better, although it can also look great when it pools into deep grooves (like the carved rings in the clay). Interestingly, it shows shades of blue when layered with Imperial White (glossy white glaze).

The name.

The first thing that came to my mind when I saw this glaze was "That looks like a Wookie". That's it, that's how I came up with the name.

Snatch a Wookie mug and listen to the sounds of the Kashyyyk forests as you sip your coffee. Or, how Chewie would say: "ROOOARRGH UR ROO WHA WWWWAH".
